United Pacific Projects Ltd. is a growing provider of inline inspection services to pipeline operators in North America. Due to recent growth and UPP’s commitment to research and development, we are now accepting applications for the position of ILI Project Manager. This role is a great opportunity for advancement as the company’s Operations group continues to grow.

The candidate must be a skilled and motivated Project Manager seeking a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed efficiently, within scope, and safely. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, critical thinking ability, and a thorough understanding of project management methodologies.

Experience with Inline Inspection (ILI) in field execution and data analysis would be considered an asset. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Attend/ Host Pre Job-Kick off meetings ensuring all aspects of the project life cycle are understood by each of the stakeholders.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and personnel effectively to ensure successful project execution.
  • Utilize proprietary software to manage project set up and execution.
  • Participate in scheduling of manpower and resources to maximize utilization.
  • Serve as primary company point of contact for project execution phase of the life cycle, including evenings and weekends.
  • Contribute to Root Cause Analysis investigations and present findings to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform data quality analysis checks on incoming project data to ensure completeness
  • Provide training and guidance on field execution issues and solicit feedback to technicians when necessary.
  • Present project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate requirements management processes to gather, analyze, and document project requirements.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication.
  • Occasionally travel to worksites to collect information or oversee execution.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new software suites and immediately apply them in day-to-day tasks.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong technical understanding of pipeline construction, operations and maintenance.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Inline Inspection Industry

Education

  • Completion of a minimum of a 2-year diploma course in any related discipline or relevant previous job experience.
  • Relevant certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
