United Pacific Projects Ltd. is a growing provider of inline inspection services to pipeline operators in Western Canada.

Due to recent growth and UPP’s commitment to research and development, we are now accepting applications for the position of ILI Field Technician. This ground-floor role has a great opportunity for advancement as the company’s technology group continues to grow.

The In‐Line Inspection (ILI) Field Technician will be a key member of the United Pacific team, as this role will be responsible for carrying out preparation, mobilization, and infield deployment of our In-Line Inspection Services. Due to recent growth, United Pacific is now accepting applications for the position of Field Technician.


Essential Functions

  • Preparation & maintenance of ILI tools for infield deployment
  • Utilize computers and proprietary software
  • Program set‐up and completion of QA/QC checklists
  • Travel throughout Western Canada for field operations
  • Driving to and from locations while finding the best/safest routes
  • Execute safe, professional, and successful ILI Inspections in the field
  • Troubleshoot electronics and wiring systems
  • Preliminary field analysis of data on site
  • Communicate timely and accurate reports back from the field
  • Display the highest level of customer service and personal accountability to United Pacific’s clients
  • Additional shop and field duties where required

Education Requirements

Degree, Diploma or equivalent experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Electronics
  • Mechanics
  • Instrumentation

Required Experience

Preference will be given to individuals who have worked in the Oil and Gas Service
Industry


Skillset

  • Knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting techniques
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work with proprietary software
  • Ability to complete tasks fully in a timely and quality manner
  • Ability to maintain poise, quality of work, and efficiency during busy times
  • Flexible work hours and ability to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to evaluate and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to maintain concentration over long periods of time
  • Self-regulated with a strong sense of pride in one’s work
  • Strong social skills for communicating with co‐workers and clients

Job Type: Full‐time

Salary: $60,000.00‐$100,000.00 per year
